Christina Maxouri was born in Athens.
She graduated with distinction from the “Neo Elliniko Theatro” College of Drama of Yiorgos Armenis.
She has worked on plays by: Euripides, Sophocles, Goldoni, Mariveaux, Chekhov, Marlow, Schimmelpfennig, Ragavis, Peresiadis, Chorn, Vasilikos, Alexakis, Kalavrianos and has worked with directors such as: Vasilis Papavassileiou, Yiannis Houvardas, Nikos Karathanos, Peter Stein, Yiorgos Armenis, Kostas Tsianos, Diagoras Chronopoulos, Sotiris Chatzakis, Efi Theodorou, Konstantinos Arvanitakis, Dimitris Lignadis, G. Margaritis, Sofia Spiratou, Takis Vouteris, Martha Frintzila, Yiannis Kalavrianos, Foteini Banou, Takis Tzamarias and Maria Protopappa. She has worked at theatres such as the National Theatre of Greece, the Athens Festival and many more.
She has taken up acting seminars with Ariane Mnouchkine at “Theatre du Soleil” (2008) and with Anatoli Vassiliev at the Center of Ancient Drama “Bonds” (2009).
From 2005 to 2010 she was a member of Martha Frintzilas’ theatre group “Road with Trees”.
She has been nominated twice for the theatre award “Melina Merkouri” (2011-2012), for the play “Paraloges or Little everyday tragedies” directed by Yiannis Kalavrianos. Nominated for the award “Eleftheria Sapountzi” (2015).
As a singer she has cooperated with famous composers and musicians, such as Nikos Xydakis, Yiorgos Psyhogios, Dimitris Kamarotos, Foivos Delivorias, Angelos Triantafyllou, Sofia Lambropoulou, Christos Theodorou in Athens Concert Halls,Theatres and live scenes.
She is currently performing on the solo a cappella music performance “Borrowed Shoes” (Athens, tour in Greece and abroad)
