Yorgos Glastras

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Trained as an actor at the U.S.I.U of San Diego, and London’s Mountview Theatre School and Royal Academy of Music. Winner of the Sir Ralph Richardson Award. Graduate of the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki. Worked extensively in Greece at: The National Theatre, Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Onassis Cultural Centre, Megaron, TheatroTechnis, Theatro Neou Kosmou,Theatro Notou, Piramatiki Skini tis Technis, etc. with directors like: Y. Chouvardas, Th. Moschopoulos, Bob Wilson, Y. Moschos, V. Theodoropoulos, N. Mastorakis, V. Papavassiliou, N. Kondouri and others. In Europe appeared in Theatres like: Deutsches Theater Berlin, Piccolo Teatro Milan, the Globe, Theatre Royal-Drury Lane, Sadler’s Wells, Riverside Studios, etc. Collaborated with Yannis Kalavrianos in the following plays: “Abelard & Heloise” (Athens Festival) , “Sons & Daughters, a play on the quest of Happiness” (Sarajevo Winter Festival, Intrnational Prize il Teatro Nudo, Milan) , “David’s Formidable Speech on Europe” and “Gods/The Lost Ring” (Deutsches Theater Berlin).
